Happiness. It's relative.

Danny kept cigarettes and a lighter in the crook of the tree. This was so when he climbed up high to watch Mr. Framer making dinner in his kitchen, he could have a nice smoke. It was relaxing.
Mr. Framer made a lot of Hamburger Helper and green beans. Sometimes, he made tater tot casserole with a lot of cheese. Danny blew smoke rings up in the tree, like he was having a cocktail waiting for his table.
One night, Mr. Framer set an extra place, looked up at the tree, and curled his finger. Come down. Here’s your place.

What happens here on Red's Wrap is all over the map. There is no single theme, no overarching gripe, no malady of my own or others that dominates. I write about what seems important or interesting at the moment and what aims me toward hope. I write stories, essays, poems - whatever fits the day and the mood. Nothing stays the same, here or anywhere. That's a good thing. Happiness. It's relative.
