Is it Still Friday Friday Round-Up

One way to keep from drinking too much wine is to buy Moscato. They were flashing the lights on and off at the grocery store like when they tell you the play is about to start and you need to get to your seat. So, my wine perusal got cut short, hence the Moscato. It’ll go with the fried chicken from the just-closed deli, I figured.

My five-year personal development plan puts me in some scary territory. Serious aging (which is the phase I’m in now) is really all about the math, as in how few numbers stand between you and a neon-lit, radiating, doom-dripping number. Let’s say this, five years would put me one over.

This election could be won or lost on Joe Biden’s gait. This is no joke. Joe Biden is fit, good looking, and very smart. But his gait, his slide-walking movement, plays into every cartoon depiction of old people ever made. Somebody who can figure out how to help Joe Biden get his old way of walking back could save democracy.

I’m fascinated by how sophisticated some folks’ passive aggressive game is. Obviously, I wouldn’t write this unless somebody today just impressed the hell out of me with his gamesmanship. So, so elegant, such slight of hand, a scalpel in a steak knife world. You have to give a guy some credit, right?

My writing career, such as it is, is going down the drain. And on top of that, I’ve had this bra on for fifteen hours. With underwires. It’s Friday.
