Happiness. It's relative.

You seem to be depressed and out of sorts.
I think I’ve been living in the past too much.
How so?
It’s these endless boxes from the attic with all their random shit – pictures from 1908 and cards from dead people.
So, what are you doing with it all?
I have no idea. My plan was to organize it all but that’s impossible. It would take fuckingforever.
You swear a lot more when you’re bummed out.
Yeah. Doesn’t everybody? Isn’t that the point of swearing?
Let’s look on the bright side. Tell me a nice thing that you found.
Oh Lord. I have to run into somebody with a Campbell Soup Cookbook.
What’s that supposed to mean?
You know, all cheery and happy and ain’t it great that I can make a 12-course meal with a can of Cream of Mushroom Soup.
You’ve lost me. Did you come across a Campbell Soup Cookbook in the attic boxes?
No. I threw them all away years ago when I got the Joy of Cooking.
Oh, I see. So, what’s for dinner?
Leftovers.
You say that like maybe it’s metaphorical.
No. It’s chicken.
Very creative, Jan….Enjoyed every word! LIke you I’m stuck with yesterdays and more yesteryears piling up.
This brought a smile to my face.
The warrior stance suits you well. I shudder to think of the reaction of the photographer to that look.
so funny and I get it
The photo is surreal. If you hadn’t said a mouse had chewed a hole in the photograph, I’d have thought something fell on the car and poked a hole all the way through it to reveal the driveway below. You don’t look too happy about barbecuing….
Oh, my gosh, I love this, Jan:) From start to finish!
These are the kind of fucking conversations I have with myself all the time. Glad I’m not alone.
