Hang Tough Friday Round-Up

Anybody who quibbles about Joe Biden’s resume at this point in time is dead to me. If he’s not that enough or this enough, I don’t give a flying fuck. He’s what’s standing between us and the end times here. I could be accused of hyperbole if I hadn’t watched so many ostensibly normal Republican politicians say okay to extraordinarily outrageous offenses against our democracy. It’s war. Us. Them. No nuance.

We are watching Julia Child prepare small birds the French way. This involves a lot of trussing, so much so that we are discussing whether to buy a trussing needle, and no small amount of butter. Note that she uses the tiny livers of these small birds to make canapes upon which she later nestles the roasted small birds with sauteed mushrooms and a sauce made out of Madeira and a couple of other wines. So we decided we must find small birds and make this dish.

We wondered today how people feel when we see them coming on a trail and we quick put our masks on to pass them. We decided they ought to be glad.

I wish the guy from Homeland Security that just told us that Donald Trump asked him if we could swap Puerto Rico for Greenland had mentioned this earlier. All the Republicans, though, would say he’s just joking. Isn’t he a card? And only some of us would know, because we saw the same foolish talk come out of our 4th graders’ mouths, that Trump has no idea about how many states there are or territories or that there’s not a country named Africa, none of that. He doesn’t know shit and people have let his ignorant self pretend to run the country.

It’s going to be alright. We know how to do this. We just need to keep doing what we’re doing. Not waver. Not get weak. It’s going to be alright.
