We pretend there are words, but there aren’t words, nobody has words, they may have hand wringing but they don’t have words because what words can explain someone shooting praying children through the stained- glass windows of a church in the early morning when the sky is as blue as can be and the clouds are wafting by just like little kids draw the world on their first day of school, the stick figures of their mom and dad in the corner and the school bus, yellow and lopsided, its wheels askew and too big, the teacher with her arms stretched wide in welcome, her smile bigger than her round stick figure face, no, there are no words, anybody who brings words should put their heads down on their desks and just cry.
