Happiness. It's relative.

Here’s my list:
I’d put charging stations everywhere so a guy with a dead phone living in the ravine in the park down the street can charge his phone and find out whether he got the job or not.
I’d make the Walk phase of an intersection twice as long so older people and folks with disabilities can get across the street at a reasonable pace and not feel like doomed characters in a video game.
I’d serve donuts and coffee at voting places and only take volunteers and staff who smile all the time regardless of their level of aggravation.
I’d sit down with young guys who drive like maniacs through our city and find out if skydiving or stock car racing or bull-riding would satisfy that urge to be on the edge without putting the rest of us at risk.
I’d throw open the doors of every public school to anyone over the age of 60 who wants to help kids learn to read and how to be happy in the world.
I’d make senior centers hot beds of social change.
I’d buy every older adult a dog or cat, pay all their vet bills, and deliver free food every month.
I’d make sure every family in the city goes on vacation every year, somewhere with a lake or a mountain or a big city or whatever it is they wish they could see and give them a hotel room with big pillows and a pool and time.

I agree with your other commentors. This is an eight out of eight winner!
Brilliant! Much food for thought
love these magic 8!
You have an awesome list.
I want to live in your community Jan 🙂
Great 8 ideas. My 9th suggestion: group purchasing of drugs that seniors need because of similar prescriptions.
What an amazing city this would be with even half of the list. I love them all!
