The Stuff of Nightmares

When the Milwaukee Admirals scored on the visiting team, fans at that end of the arena stood up on cue and yelled at the goalie:

YOU SUCK! YOU SUCK!

IT’S ALL YOUR FAULT! IT’S ALL YOUR FAULT! IT’S ALL YOUR FAULT!

And I wondered how they came up with that perfect condemnation. Maybe it’s a hockey thing and fans chant the same thing all over the country. Anyway, the chant was both hilarious and mortifying.

I know this chant. I’ve heard it in my head a hundred times – not so much recently. But when I had a greater potential for error – more people taking shots at me. Anyway, I stand with the goalie on this one, even if he is playing for the out–of-towners.
