99 New: Doing It

If you told people you would do it, you do it.

That’s the lesson from doing 99 New for the past 25 days.

After my husband ribbed me for posting rerun blog posts, I resolved to produce new material every day until Christmas. Here’s what I’ve learned from this experience.

  1. There’s more in that well that you think there is.
  2. Short isn’t copping out. Short is short.
  3. A telephone pole described well can be interesting.
  4. You might not think so but there really is something in every day that’s worth noticing.
  5. If it isn’t perfect, which it never is, you can fix it later.

So, is it worth it to force yourself to write something new everyday? Yes. Try it.
