Happiness. It's relative.

My second cochlear implant was activated this afternoon and is serving up scrambled eggs with hot peppers. Meanwhile my first implant is dropping cool jazz.
It’s going to be that way for a while.
Discordant.
There are worse things.
I like scrambled eggs. Hot peppers not so much.
Patience.
I don’t know if you are getting my messages at all. Some go, some don’t. But Garry’s are live and he went up from 12% to 62% in one week and I think he’s hearing even better now. It’s really amazing and definitely worth it.
Yes – I can tell the improvement in just a couple of days. Not perfect but coming along. Thanks for the inspiration, Marilyn. It’s really appreciated.
Hang on in there. Garry’s are live and he can REALLY hear. It’s an enormous improvement — so huge I don’t even have the right words for it.
I feel like it’s going to be huge even if it isn’t right now. Pretty cool. Not sure I know how to act as somebody who can actually hear what’s going on. I’ll have to get rid of all my fakery. 🙂
Oh my, Jan! I just googled what you’ve been through and are dealing with. I send whatever healing light and love your way – anything that can manage to get through all the other electronic buzzing.
Meanwhile, I agree with the “cute hair” comment!
Thanks, Nancy. Things are coming along ‘pretty okay’ which seems to be my favorite phrase lately. 🙂
If you find some patience, I hope you find enough to share a little with me. I seem to have used up all of mine. Much obliged.
Well, I’m not known for excess patience but maybe this is the new frontier of aging. 🙂
Yea, we can hope. If I develop an excess I’ll send some to you.
Deal.
Symmetry of form, I like that in an organizational way. Soon the discord will subside and there will be a match all around.
One scrambled egg at a time. 🙂
congrats
Thank you!
Cute hair, Jan. I know that is far from the point, but….While you are waiting for more perfect sound, might a well enjoy perfect hair. Congrats on your new implant.
Thanks, Judy 🙂
