Rain on My Windshield

I have, in my life, been wrung out by drunks.

I have been made desperate and afraid and angry and woeful. The last is most important. Woeful.

Woeful.

“Characterized by, expressive of, or causing sorrow or misery”

That about which you are able to do nothing, fix nothing, repair damage, instill hope for the future.

Hope isn’t in the glove box.

It can’t be instilled, distilled, installed.

You have it or you drive away barely remembering what it was like to know things will get better.

Faith. False hope. Faith. False hope.
