Happiness. It's relative.

What happens here on Red's Wrap is all over the map. There is no single theme, no overarching gripe, no malady of my own or others that dominates. I write about what seems important or interesting at the moment and what aims me toward hope. I write stories, essays, poems - whatever fits the day and the mood. Nothing stays the same, here or anywhere. That's a good thing. Happiness. It's relative.

I can totally see you in the role of road warrior in a truck! This piece made me smile and laugh! It reminded me of the time after my father had finished restoring a 1940s pickup truck and he asked me if I wanted to take a ride with him down Wisconsin Avenue so we could, “Look the bus drivers in the eye.”
There is power that comes with driving a truck isn’t there. I’ve thought all those things myself and loved being the girl who drove the big blue Ford back and forth to high school in the 1970’s… manual transmission and dents included. Now I want a truck again, and some of those bad ass clothes.
