You can be too full of a day to even put it into words.
- Peeling the back off yet another ER visitor’s badge to find my daughter in Room 5
- Watching my son re-enact my yelling at him as a teenager
- Having the same son say that he would raise his kids the same way he was raised except for the yelling
- Having the same son say all the yelling was justified because kids are so frustrating which he knows now because his are
- Missing ta’i chi again in both meanings of the word
- Hearing our beloved dog cry in pain when the vet finds her torn ACL with his fingers
- Delivering tampons and pads to a shelter in the new pink garbage bags I found on Amazon and wishing the guy inside would come out and help me
- Having a Facebook argument with a legislator about gun control
- Saying I will cook a turkey for a meal program and deliver it on Thanksgiving and then worrying about the lid on my Nesco roaster
- Finding a big, huge bag of period supplies for homeless women left on my porch with no note or idea who left it
- Watching news on TV that seemed to be good news for a change
- Finding Zatarain’s Dirty Rice in the cupboard
- Not having any dessert but finding the bag of butterscotch candies a friend sent weeks ago
- Seeing the good, humble guy win Chopped and the boastful guy get sent off to mutter about injustice
- Watching my husband carry our crippled dog up the stairs to go to bed
- Not earning a blessed penny
- Hoping for the best
