Don’t fix the shower
We’re glad it’s broken
Just use the cup
Pour water over your head
Lather up
Rinse
Rinse again
Luxuriate
Take all you want from the pail
There’s always more
Forget about the old days
Now we use rain

It’s amazing what we can adapt to. And what we realize we don’t need after it’s gone. Like circus peanuts and video games and cable tv.
Hopefully it’s warm!!
A coworker just brought his adopted daughter home from India where she was used to bathing with a pail and a mug. She liked the bathtub at first, but suddenly became reluctant/scared. He grabbed a mug from the kitchen and now bath time is the best thing ever.
Beautiful poem. Rainwater is so much fresher than tap water anyway ☺
What a pleasant feeling after reading this post.
