Happiness. It's relative.
That blue is long gone. That blue that made me put my book down to take a picture. Not of the water or the sky. But of the blue.
It was such a blue I thought it might not happen again in my lifetime. So it would have been a mistake to just notice it in passing and keep reading. Oh, what a beautiful day.
It was too blue for casual praise. It was the bluest blue of my life’s looking up to notice what the world is offering me. It was that blue.
That has to be Lake Superior blue. We always thought that the lower humidity in the cooler north caused both the sky and the water to be very blue. I have seen Lake Superior be the most chilling, depressing, threatening grey/green, too. It is my favorite lake, although I also enjoy Lake Michigan.
Lovely 🙂

Red, think you’ll identify with the above!!!
Yes! Thanks.
I think late summer blues are the bluest.
Is that it? Late summer? I never knew that.
It’s a theory and maybe it’s all in my head – bittersweet blue – as summer peaks and then fades. Never mind. I’ll stop analyzing and just enjoy.
