Happiness. It's relative.
Nothing bad will happen in the daylight. As long as the sun is shining and there’s gas in the car, it will be fine.
I just need to keep my mind straight, pay attention to where I’ve already been, get out from under Jack and Diane revolving in my head, leftover from thirty years ago. They must have grown up by now, maybe died, together or not. Their story is over.
They can’t help me find Blue Fox Lane. It’s not their job; they’ve never been here. How would they know where to look?
But who else can I ask?

You create so much interest and intrigue with so few words.
Love it
Ally 🙂
There’s a great backstory developing here. It’s the kind of writing that leaves you wanting to find out more. I think the opening is something we can all relate to.
Thanks Colin!
A wonderful 100 words filled with intrigue and foreshadowing and making me want to know more. A great way to start my morning.
Thank you!
I hate being lost..but it does feel better with a full tank of gas… I usually ask for directions at a gas station…LOL
I love this, especially the opening.
Thanks, Jen!
